Project compound parts can easily be appended to the delivered dataset using Family/Part Editor . These compound parts can be stored in another XML file with the same family name.

Below are some new project compound parts in the family named Casework. These are stored in a project XML file. There is one compound part named Cabinet_Wall, that is a duplicate in both the project and delivered dataset.

Below are delivered compound parts in the family named XML file for Casework. Note that the family name is highlighted in blue because it is now a duplicate family.

Notice that the compound part Cabinet_Wall is highlighted in red. This is because it is a duplicate compound part which is not to be used. It is displayed for reference only. The project compound part duplicate is used because it is defined first, in the dataset. Therefore the project compound part definitions will be used.

When opening the Family/Part Editor toolbar, all Compound Parts are listed together.
